Insomnia

The term insomnia is multifaceted. It is used because it is familiar to all. Yet experts prefer to speak of sleep disturbance at night because even with the most severe forms of insomnia sleeping when even a little.

Often they sleep through the night but wakes up one morning with the feeling of not having slept. In this case we say that the meaning of sleep is disrupted.

There are three types of sleep disorders the most common: difficulty falling asleep, sleep cut short awakenings during the night and early morning awakenings.

Sleep disorders are often due to exhaustion, the neuroses, severe tests and other ailments. Normally you can not sleep when it is excited, full of emotions. In other cases it does not sleep as soon as one goes down, the sleepiness disappears immediately due to external irritants. The more one focuses on the external noise by seeking complete silence, the more one sees increase its sensitivity so that lower noise or other barriers prevent them from falling asleep.

In hypochondriacal people difficulty falling asleep is a neurotic character. These people have a fixed idea that the approach of night must result in insomnia, which is "harmful to the nervous system" and may be "serious consequences".

This "waiting neurosis" usually affects those who overestimate the importance of sleep for the nervous system. Just for them to remain lying quietly in bed, to relax their muscles, breathe deeply and regularly. In this state, as evidenced by research, the flow of the brain are nervous analogue to those of sleep.

It happens that you wake up abruptly. We do not dream but we are worried, thinking to real problems. These people have difficulty getting up in the morning. They could be helped by a conversation that reveals the mechanism of sleep disorders. If medication is prescribed.

The early awakenings (4 or 5 o'clock in the morning) does not harm the body. A short sleep may be useful and profound. The problem arises when we become anxious these awakenings. And it is here that a healthy person begins taking sleeping pills that break the rhythm of sleep.
